The next episode to air (Tuesday, April 20th at 10 est) will be Kids Gone Wild. In that episode, we let a bunch of 6 – 7 year old kids come up with our menu. Needless to say, it is an intense culinary ride into the realm of the INSANE!

Over the years we have had a few questions always present, always being asked. At the restaurant it’s “how do you guys do it?” and in many interviews it’s “where do these ideas come from?”. Well, now there is a way for you, the viewer, at home, to see that creative process happen and get a behind-the-scenes view of what goes on, how it happens and the reasoning behind some of our cuisine at Moto. It’s all there on your T.V. screen, Tuesdays on Planet Green.

If you are unsure as to whether or not you get Planet Green in your home, just go to www.planetgreen.com and use their “channel finder” button to find out! Thanks, and hope you get to tune in! -Ben

Future Food TV Show is a new series on Planet Green scheduled to premiere March 30th at 10 P.M. EST. It follows myself, Homaro (executive chef of Moto) and everyone else at the restaurant as we address and explore many different “food calamities” occurring now and attempt to fix them using our creative ingenuity and strong will to promote positive change. Some have described us as the “Mythbusters” of food.

For example, how do you get a bunch of 7-year-olds to eat their veggies?…turn them into “deep fried deer heads” or “dirty socks with rocks”. How do you build a better, more sustainable, more substantial burger? Remove the cow from the equation and make your burgers out of what the cow would normally eat. These are just a few examples of things you will see us doing on the show. The show is sort of like the restaurant, “play with your food, but play responsibly”.

The world, of course, is changing, and food is changing along with it. This will not be the place on the web to address current and future concerns regarding food related issues (agricultural practices, corporate processing, the plague of unhealthy eating, those who wish to exploit nature to make it lucrative instead of flourishing, etc.), those issues will be addressed elsewhere, on many fronts and in various states of intensity.

This website is my piece of the internet universe, created to share with you my personal interpretation of a new form of cuisine where there are no rules and no boundaries. For some reason, a lot of people refer to it as “molecular gastronomy”. This style, while possibly confusing, is ultimately good for everyone, if used responsibly. Whatever you want to call it, I would best describe it as fun, purposeful, creative, and above all, delicious. Allow me to demonstrate, and please enjoy.
